Barbie Robinson 150x224Barbie Robinson has over 20 years of experience in the fields of healthcare administration, policy and research.  For the past 16 years, Barbie has worked at the Federal level overseeing the administration of Federal healthcare programs including Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program, and the Medicare Fee for Service program.

In 2002, Barbie joined the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in the San Francisco Division of Medicaid and Children’s Health Operations. This Division is responsible for overseeing the States’ administration of the Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance programs in the states of Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, and the Pacific Territories. Barbie held several positions in the Division of Medicaid & Children’s Health Operations in both programmatic and financial management duties until 2008 when she became the Program Branch Manager in the Division.  In 2010, Barbie became the Technical Director in the Division of Medicare & Fee-for-Service Operations where she supported the Associate Regional Administrator in developing national policy and guidelines for all program integrity-related responsibilities in all ten regional divisions across the country

From 2010 to 2014, Barbie served as the Associate Regional Administrator (ARA) for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ San Francisco Division of Financial Management and Fee for Service Operations (DFMFFSO) that is responsible for administering the Medicare Fee for Service program. In addition, she served as the Lead Functional Associate Regional Administrator for program integrity. In this capacity, she was responsible for directing staff and division managers in all 10 regional divisions to carry out all program integrity-related work assignments.

In 2014, Barbie became the Associate Regional Administrator (ARA) of the Atlanta Division of Financial Management & Fee for Service Operations while also concurrently serving as the ARA for the San Francisco division. That same year, she received the "Administrator’s Achievement Award."

Barbie has a Masters of Public Policy from Georgetown University of Public Policy, a Juris Doctorate from George Washington University School of Law, and B.A.s in Political Science, Spanish and International Sociology from Middlebury College.
